Stephen is an independent artist working on cultural and environmental projects for publishing, arts and charity organisations.

His collaborations include a Heritage Lottery Fund project teaching photography to refugee children living in the city slums in Kampala. He was part of a group of artists commissioned to curate community and schools artworks for the opening of the Brighton football stadium. With Participle Picture he setup Freedom Cells, a site specific human rights film festival supported by English PEN. In 2019 he worked with Team London Bridge to launch ‘Pop-Up Eco Films’ a multi-venue film festival involving the local community and supported by The Zoological Society London, Thames21 and Bermondsey Street Bees.

His production photography clients include Royal Opera House London, Royal Lyceum Edinburgh, Druid Theatre Galway, Schauspielhaus Hamburg and Schaubühne Berlin.
